Rheda Whitener Teague, 79, of Hickory, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at Catawba Valley Medical Center.
She was born April 9, 1944 in Cleveland County to the late Craig and Tansie Mull Whitener.
Rheda was a member of Providence Baptist Church in Hickory. She enjoyed traveling, going to the beach, and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Joe Teague; brother, Buddy Whitener; sister-in-law, Peggy Whitener; and grandson, Luke Shubert.

A service to celebrate Rheda's life will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church in Hickory. Rev. Chris Dale and Rev. Carson Moseley will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
