Caroline Jines was born 23 May 1855 Muhlenberg Co. KY, the daughter of Luther F and Sarah Ann (Stearman) Jines. In the 1860s Luther, his family , and some of his brothers moved to Hamilton Co. IL where Caroline was raised.
Caroline married Joseph Trotter 5 May 1782 in Hamilton Co IL. They lived to celebrate their 50th Golden anniversary. she died age 88

Caroline and Joseph had 10 children. The grand children called her "Ma Trotter"
