SEVEN VALLEYS – Margaret E. Welty, 79, of Seven Valleys RD 1, died Tuesday at Colonial Manor Nursing Home, York. She was the wife of the late Charles A. McKim and of the late George F. Welty.
The service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Baumeister, Orcutt and Small Mortuaries Inc., South Queen and East Jackson Streets, York. Burial will be in Zion (Shaffer's) Church Cemetery. Viewing will be noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary.
Mrs. Welty was born on Dec. 14, 1914, at York. She was the daughter of the late Herbert and Edna (Graybill) Gallatin.
She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, York.
Mrs. Welty is survived by a son, Larry C. McKim of Denver, Colo.; a daughter, Mitzi A. Christine of Shrewsbury; a step-daughter, Mary Ann Welty of Jamaica Plain, Mass.; seven grandchildren; a great-grandson; a brother, Albert Gallatin of York; and two sisters, Dorothy Zelinka of York, and Ruth Walker of Bellefonte.
Officiating at the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Dr. Charles A. Snyder Jr.
