20 September 1965: Mrs. Mary E. Bixler, 90, 215 Brown St., Elizabethtown, a former resident of Annville, died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday in Harrisburg Osteopathic Hospital. She had been hospitalized four days. A native of North Annville Township, Mrs. Bixler was the daughter of the late George and Christine (Boger) Davis. She resided in Elizabethtown for 10 years. She was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Annville, and the Dorcas Bible Class of the Sunday School. Her husband, Harvey, died Jan. 14, 1948.
Surviving are three sons and one daughter, Clarence, Lebanon; Ambrose and Charles, Annville, and Stella, wife of Luther Drescher, with whom she resided. Fourteen grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, four great great-grandchildren survive as do three brothers, Harry Davis, Paris, France; Raymond Davis, Egg Harbor, N.J., and Charles Davis, Lebanon.
