1910 ~ 2004
Pearl Marie Margetts Webb was called home peacefully on March 4, 2004 from her earthly home in Taylorsville, Utah.
She was born April 7, 1910 in West Jordan to Lorenzo and Caroline Steadman Margetts. She lived her entire life a few miles from her birthplace. She was married to James Ray Smith, the father of her two children Bob Smith and Carolyn Smith Grose. He died in 1949. She later married George Alford Webb who preceded her in death in 1972. She lived alone in their home until 1986 when she came to live with her son Bob where she remained until her death.
Pearl is survived by her son Bob Smith, her younger brother Harvey Margetts, nine grandchildren, and several great and great-great-grandchildren. She took pride in remembering the names and birthdays of all of them until recently. Carolyn died in 1990 which was especially sad for Pearl because she and Carolyn were very close. She loved to sew and was very skilled. She made many clever things for herself and others including clothing items. She worked for many years as a seamstress for Mountain States Casket Company until her retirement in about 1984.
She was loved by all who knew her and the many people who visited her. They enjoyed her jokes and constant positive attitude.
Friends and family are invited to funeral services to be held Wednesday March 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Goff Mortuary in Midvale. Those who wish to see her a final time, may join the family at 10:15 prior to the service.
