A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she had attended the Salvation Army Church and was a former member of the Women's Home League.
Mrs. Bishop was the daughter of the late Wyatt and Clara Banks Gentry and was the wife of the late Archie Cornelius Bishop. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Alice Gatlin, formerly of Asheville.
Surviving are her daughter, Joyce Honeycutt of Asheville; sons, Frederick "Fred" Bishop of Brunswick, ME, Garrett B. Bishop of Lancaster, SC, Ralph David Bishop of Charleston, SC, and Terry Bishop of Fletcher; 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren.
Entombment will be at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.
