Bowman Memorial Park, begins in May 16, 1832. When the U.S. Government granted to John H. Bowman an estate. Part of which he platted into Three Rivers, Mi. on November 28, 1836. One part of this plat, Block 31, was used as a cemetery by the Bowman's and permission was given for other families to use it for burial purposes. Later, when Riverside Cemetery was established many bodies were removed from Bowman Cemetery to the new location. Their names are on record at Riverside. This was done in the 1860's Bowman Cemetery was given to the City of Three Rivers with the understanding that it should remain a cemetery and if not it would revert to the Bowman heirs. Bowman Winn is the last visable grave marker left at Bowman Park Cemetery. The D.A.R. placed a grave marker showing that she was the Daughter of Abiel Fellows a Revolutionary War Soldier.
