DEATH: On Friday evening last evening Felton Brown, who but recently removed from near this place to Saltillo, where he was employed in the pottery of Search, French & Co., was killed by the cars at that place. Mr. Brown had just left his home to go to the store, and was walking along the railroad track when an engine pushing two cars ran him down. The high wind prevailing at the time prevented him from hearing the noise made by the approaching train. It is said that the usual precautions were not taken by the railroad employees-that there was no brakeman on the front car. If there has been it is possible the fatality might have been averted.
