Sarah married Andrew Spohn in 1850 in Ohio and had 3 children: John (1851-), Philip D.(1853-?), Daniel (1858-1863). Andrew died in 1860, she then married Andrew Strauss in 24 June 1861 in Howard County, Indiana. They had 7 children: Lewis (1861-1863), Louisa J.(1863-?), Caroline E.(1865-1882), Charles M.(1868-?), George H.(1870-1878), William F.(1872-1877), Ella Nora(1876-1947). Moved to Emporia, Lyon County, Kansas before 1882.
