Helen L. Cooper, 87, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 2:00 am June 30, 2023 at her home. She was born December 10, 1935 in Harviell, Missouri to the late Virgil and Marie (Chatman) Crunk. Helen married Thomas Dale "Tom" Cooper on July 20, 1963 in Salem, Illinois. They were blessed with nearly 60 years of marriage.
Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She will be deeply missed.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her son, James C. Cooper; and great-granddaughter, Taylor Neleh Travis; and siblings, Robert Crunk, Virgil Crunk, Jr., Edna Ellis, Velma Hoffman, and Thelma Davis.
Interment at Oak Grove Cemetery in Mount Vernon.
