Funeral services for Ms. Shirley Trimble Broussard Landry will be held Friday, April 11, 2014, at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Franklin, with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 11:00 AM at the church. She will be laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery. Rev. Paul Vandercook will officiate the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Dr. Nathan K. Landry, Lynn Jeffcoat, Dana Jeffcoat, Jonathan Jeffcoat, Jeff Regan, Chase Fergason, and Ryan Welty. Ms. Shirley was a native and resident of Franklin who passed away at the age of 83 on Monday, April 7, 2014.
Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family and bragging about her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing, reading, and knitting baby blankets for family and friends, as well as hats for the children at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. She was a member of the Golden Age Club and was an active member of First Baptist Church of Franklin. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her daughters, Robbie Broussard Landry and her husband Dr. Nathan K. Landry and Fran Broussard Jeffcoat and her husband Lynn Jeffcoat; five grandchildren, Melissa Landry Regan and her husband Jeff, Dr. Caroline Landry, Dana Jeffcoat, Kimberly Jeffcoat Fergason and her husband Chase, and Jonathan Jeffcoat; and four great grandchildren, Grant and Luke Regan, Kailia Jeffcoat, and Emmaline Fergason; as well as another great grandchild to be born in July; and two sisters-in-law, Pat Broussard and Lucille Lasseigne.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Henry Trimble and Lucille Baudoin Trimble; her brother and sister-in-law, Allen Ray Trimble and Genevieve Ewing Trimble.
