John James Kadlic, 91 of Beech Bottom, WV died peacefully on Friday, June 30, 2023, at Golden Oaks Personal Care Center.

John was born on September 20, 1931, in Benwood, WV, a son of the late Joseph and Katherine (Dobias) Kadlic. In addition to his parents John is preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Marie Kadlic; and one sister, Rose Mary (David) Smith.

John graduated from Wellsburg High School Class of 1949 and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He worked for Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel as a laborer.

John is survived by three children, Kelly (John) Hunter of Wellsburg, WV; John (Christine) Kadlic of Powell, OH, Scott (PJ) Kadlic of Granville, OH; one sister, Dolores (Richard) Moore of Wheeling, WV; one brother, Joseph Kadlic and companion Janet of TN; eight grandchildren, Morgan (Donnie) Utz, Alexa (Jordan) Lumley, Madison (Austin) Crow, Sidney Kadlic, Gunnar, Ella, Colden, and Luc Kadlic, two great grandchildren, Beckett and Hudson Utz; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for John will be held on Sunday, July 2, 2023, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm and again on Monday, July 3rd from 1:00 pm until the time of the Funeral Liturgy of the Word at 2:00 pm with Rev. Fr. Justin Golna officiating at Mullenbach Funeral Home 669 Main St. Follansbee, WV 26037.
Interment will follow at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery.
Full Military Honors will be conducted by the US Navy and the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
