Dorothy Hochstetler, age 83 of Hope Springs Manor, Goshen, IN, formerly of Milford, IN,
died at 10:45 am on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at The Laurels of Goshen.
Dorothy was born on June 24, 1940 in Mendon, MI to Phineas D. and Susan (Frey) Hochstetler.
She lived most of her life in the Nappanee area and was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. Dorothy worked for many years at Family Fare and then Martin's Supermarket in Nappanee.
Surviving are 2 brothers: Melvin (Pauline) Hochstetler of Centerville, MI
Leroy (Pauline) Hochstetler of Three Rivers, MI; 1 sister, Rosemary (Paul) Mullet of Leesburg, IN;
13 nieces and nephews; 25 great nieces and nephews; and 6 great great nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and a stillborn niece.
Visitation will be held after 2 pm on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at the Nelson Slabaugh residence
(3962 W 1350 N, Milford, IN 46542). A funeral service will be held at 9:30 am on Sunday, July 2, 2023,
also at the Nelson Slabaugh residence. Home ministries of the Old Order Amish Church will officiate
and burial will take place in Weldy Cemetery, Nappanee, IN.
Dorothy's family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation for the many acts of kindness
extended to them during this time of their loss. May God bless each of you.
