Jack Dee Alexander, 85, of Greentown, Indiana, passed away on June 29, 2023.
He was born on Sept. 28, 1937, in Marion, Indiana, to the late Frank E. Alexander and Merle Delight (Raypholtz) Alexander. He married LaMerle Wales on Nov. 17, 1956.
He was a member of the Normal Church of Christ. Mr. Alexander retired from Chrysler in 2001, and enjoyed his retirement home in the Great Smoky Mountains, travel, woodworking shop, as well as being a Ham radio operator. Jack was also involved in the Jonesboro Masonic Lodge, The Samaritan Lodge in Fort Wayne in 1968, the Scottish Ride in 1972 and the Valley of Murat Shrine in Indianapolis.
Jack is survived by daughters, Jacquelyn (Ross) Petty of Washburn, Tennessee, Jill (Mark) Aswad of Locke, New York and Jennifer (Dwayne) Poole of Portland, Tennessee; grandchildren, Michael (Michelle) Lybrook, Jennifer Lybrook, Amanda Lybrook, Jeffery Brandon (Jessica) Shiposh, Krista (Michael) Abresh, Casey Shiposh, Corey (Lizza) Shiposh, John Alexander, Joseph (Bri) Turner, Brock (Maggie) Poole; also 28 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and siblings, James Lee Alexander, David Alan Alexander, Michael David Alexander and Rebecca Sue Alexander Adams.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 S. Western Ave., Marion, IN 46953. A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 2, 2023, from 2-5 p.m. A service will be held on Monday, July 3, 2023, at 3:30 p.m., with a burial to follow in Grant Memorial Park in Marion, Indiana, with Pastor Ed Bridegroom officiating the services.
