'Vinnie' Hildebrand

Mary "Vinnie" Hildebrand, 82, of Davisville passed away June 2, 2005, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Parkersburg May 16, 1923, a daughter of the late William Floyd and Mary Brown Pennybacker.

She lived her whole life in the Parkersburg area and was very active until recent years. She had worked as a school bus driver, mail carrier and for her sister at Jeanie's Windmill Restaurant. She enjoyed bowling and entertaining family and friends. She was a member of the Winding Grange, Iris Homemaker Club, the Choral Society and a founding member of Calvary Memorial Church. She had been active with the church choir, the outdoor drama and assisted in many other areas of the church.

"Vinnie" is survived by three sons, Larry Hildebrand and his wife, Carol, Marty Hildebrand and his wife, Carolyn, all of Parkersburg, and Ed Hildebrand and wife, Sarah, of Davisville; a daughter, Penny Hildebrand and companion, Mike Carr, of Los Angeles, Calif.; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Rosalie Williams of Parkersburg; and the children of the late Alphie Rose, with whom she was close for many years.

In addition to her parents, her husband, Paul Hildebrand in 1976; one grandson, Brian Hildebrand; a sister, Jean Murray; and a brother, "Buster" Pennybacker, preceded "Vinnie" in death.

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Calvary Memorial Church, with Pastor Rob Collins officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, and from noon-1 p.m. Monday at the church.
