Dr. Dodge was an Associate Professor, Wake Forest University School of Medicine and Director of the Bone Marrow Transplant Lab in the Dept. of Pathology. As Director of the Hematopoietic And AML Research Lab, Associate Editor of the medical journal, Stem Cells and Development and Founder and Scientific Director of MPrint, LLC his research was motivated by the search for effective treatments for leukemia and other diseases of blood and bone marrow.

Bill was born and grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Following graduation from Millsaps College, Jackson, MS he received his Ph.D. In Microbiology and Immunology from the University Mississippi School of Medicine. After a Postdoctoral Fellowship in hematopoiesis and leukemia, Univ. Florida School of Medicine, Veterans Hospital, Gainesville, Fla. He and his family transferred to Winston Salem where he established his first research laboratory at Winston Salem State University.
