She was born on August 8, 1874, in Black Log Valley, the daughter of Jacob A. and Agnes (Holmes) McMullen.
She was united in marriage to Rudolph Chilcote, who preceded her in death on December 7, 1945.
Mrs. Chilcote was a faithful member of st. Mary's Catholic Church of Shade Valley.
Surviving are four children, Victoria (Mrs. Ernest Roddey) of Altoona, Elizabeth (Mrs. Banks Goshorn) and Lawrence W. Chilcote, both of Blairs Mills, R.D., and Berlin Chilcote at home. Three brothers, Charles McMullen of Conemaugh, John McMullen of Shade Gap, Emory McMullen of Oregon, Ill., two sistrs, Miss Annie McMullen and Mrs. Amanda McGrain, both of Bloomdale, Ohio, and 13 grandchildren, also survive.
Requiem high mass was sung at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Shade Valley. The Rev. Father Joseph Rusnack of Mount Union, her pastor, officiated and interment was made in the adjoining cemetery.
