"We have all been touched by her extraordinary life", said Rev Jay Barnes,Pastor of her Church. He led the final goodby at the church she helped to build. Seabrook Mayor Robin Riley called her the "mother and Grandmother of our city." as he led eulogies to her. She died last Wednesday March 19 just a month before her 90th birthday. She was active in all aspects of her community. A city park is named for her. Her husband Sidney preceeded her in death. She is survived by a son, Sidney Brummerhop, a daughter and son-in-law, Nelda and Joe Saitta, one brother Frank Hoot, two sisters Evelyn Kennedy and Beulah Strange, six granchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and four great-great- grandchildren. Burial in Seabrook City Cemetery.
