Born March 26, 1931, in Circleville, he was the son of the late Henry E. Bennett and Virginia Vest Bennett
Mr. Bennett graduated from Circleville High School in 1948. He owned and operated a garage and gas station.
His wife, Helen Rush Bennett, survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Susan Bennett and Sandy Jacobs and husband, Bob, all of Ohio; two sons, Richard "Rick" Bennett of Ohio and David Bennett of Nevada; two sisters, Mary Bland of Circleville and Silva Warner and husband, Jack of Staunton, VA; one brother, Henry Bennett and wife, Mary June of Circleville; and three grandchildren, Bobby Jacobs, Rachael Jacobs and Logan Bennett.
Funeral services were held March 8 at the Jardine Funeral Home, Strongsville, OH, with Rev. Carl Pelzer officiating. Burial was in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Ohio.
