According to a brief news account in the Bar Harbor Times, Bar Harbor, Maine, published, Feb 23, 1961, his wife, Mrs. Anne Ida Barrows Seelye died at home in Worcester, MA, on Feb 9, 1961.

Then according to subsequent brief news report in the Bar Harbor Times, Bar Harbor, Maine, published, Apr 6, 1961, Mr. Seelye died several day AFTER his wife. It said they had had a cottage on Isleford, Maine, which is a small island off the coast of the island Bar Harbor, Maine is located on, about 5 miles away. It said they had stayed at the cottage for several summers until just the previous summer when they were unable to come and the cottage was sold.

They married on 14 Jun 1904 in Providence, Rhode Island and had 6 children:
