Loring James "Jim" Allen passed away at his home, surrounded by his loved ones on Friday June 23, 2023. He was born in Circleville, OH on January 17, 1933 to the late Loring and Helen Allen. On May 28, 1954 Jim married the love of his life, Teresa, who survives him. He was a 1951 graduate of Circleville High School, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of Heritage Nazarene Church. Jim retired from E.I. Dupont in 1991 after 33 years of service. Jim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend and is also survived by daughters Karen Allen of Nashport, OH, Debra (Randall) Wells of Blacklick, OH and Angela (J Michael) Hollingshead of Alexandria, OH; grandchildren Dawn (Javier) Gonzalez of Pickerington, OH, Jonathon (Jessica) Sabine of Dresden, OH, Kellie (Christopher) Berlean of Miamisburg, OH, Lindsay Green, of Zanesville, OH and 12 great grandchildren. Jim is also survived by his sister Beverly Whitten of Williamsport as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his sisters Rea Werner and Marjorie Vogt and brothers Richard and Paul. Visitation for Jim will be Wednesday June 28, 2023 from 11-1 with service to follow at 1p.m. at Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. Burial will be in Hitler-Ludwig Cemetery.
