William P. GUEST served as watchman on the grounds of the Clapp's Factory. His second wife died in childbirth on October 28, 1878 at Clapp's Factory and is assumed to be buried at the cemetery also.

"Mr. W. P. GUEST DEAD: Expired Suddenly Near Hines Crossing, Harris County. // News has reached the city of the death of Mr. W. P. GUEST, which occurred at 4 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Mr. GUEST was crossing a field near Hine's Crossing in Harris county, when he suddenly dropped dead, of heart failure. The deceased was about 65 years of age, and had many friends and acquaintances in this city who will be pained to learn of his sudden demise. Mr GUEST was an ex-Confederate veteran, and an honest and upright citizen. He was highly respected by all who knew him. His remains will be enterred [sic] at Clapp's factory burying ground at 11 o'clock this morning." [Columbus (GA) Daily Enquirer newspaper, Saturday, 02 APR 1898, p. 3.]

March 1, 1862; pvt.; appt'd. wagoner; wounded July 1, 1862 at Malvern Hill, VA; disch. Aug. 4, 1862; 2nd m. Claricy Walters 1863/1864 and possibly lived in NC; lived in Henry Co. GA Jan. 1864; lived in NC in 1865; lived in GA in 1867; lived in Towns Co., GA in 1870; lived in Columbus, GA in 1890; received a pension in 1898 in Muscogee Co., GA. (Online biography mistakenly gives his death information as 1909 in NC.)
