Born in Danville, Ohio to Bruce and Florence (Tucker) Stringfellow.
Saundra graduated Danville High School in 1958, and retired from Knox Community Hospital after 30 plus years of service. After retirement she worked for the Fredericktown Public Library and Volunteered for Hospice. She was a selfless mother who would work extra jobs to be able to support and care for her family. Raising her daughter, to be a strong, independent, caring, compassionate adult, who also knew and loved our Lord and Savior.
Saundra enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, crocheting, gardening, drawing, crossword puzzles, baking, attending her church, singing, attending gospel concerts, and motorcycle trips with her late husband. She was a member of the Fredericktown Free Will Baptist Church, a devoted daughter of Christ.

Oh, how generous and gracious our Lord was!
He filled me with the faith and love that comes from Christ Jesus.
Saundra is preceded in death by her parents, husbands Sidney Mounts and Jack Auskings, sisters
Leora (Harold) Purdy, Evelyn (William) Henwood, Martha Mann, brother-n-law Clifford Raasch,
nephew's Richard Smith, William Henwood, and Rodney Wagner.
Saundra is survived by her loving daughter Melissa K. Jones of Howard of which she resided. Sister Margaret Raasch of Mount Vernon, granddaughters Stephanie (Zach) Snyder of Fredericktown, Samantha Tomes of Mount Vernon, Great-Grandson Jayden Snyder, Great-Granddaughter Zoey Snyder. Nieces - Laurie Gail Smith (and family) of Mount Vernon, Jenny (Rodney) Ayers of Florida, Wendy Wagner (and family) of Mount Vernon, many great-nieces and nephews, and dear friend Chris Herbert.

Her daughter wishes to thank her friends and those who came to help care for Saundra.
Tierany Remen, Brenda Poole, Kirsten Alspach, Barbara Nicholson, and Maryanna Beougher. She loved you all so much, and you help make her last days brighter. Thank you for the exceptional care provided by the team of Gentiva Hospice – Mandy, Lindsey, Lexi, Wendy, Stephanie, Melissa, Travis and those behind the scene that made sure mom did not suffer and we were taken care of completely. Thank you to her daughter's co-workers at Knox Community Hospital HIM Department, Deb, Lisa, Cathy, Danielle, Brook, and Rachel. For picking up extra work so I could be here for my mom and care for her. Thank you for caring about both us.
We will celebrate the life and love of Saundra with those who truly knew, cherished, cared and loved her, with a graveside service at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens on Monday June 26, 2023 at 11a.m. Services will be presided by Pastor Aaron Boggs.
