Mary Winifred ""Freddie'' Malthy Brandon Burke, a retired chemist, died on August 29, 2005. Age 81 years. She was born in Jackson, Mississippi and was a resident of New Orleans, Louisiana and Pinckneyville, Mississippi. Mrs. Burke attended Newcomb College and graduated from the University of Mississippi. She was a member of the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in the State of Louisiana; Founder Chapter of Louisiana Colonials, The Orleans Club, Ladies Auxiliary of the Salvation Army, Christ Church Cathedral. Survived by her husband, Richard Joseph Burke. A private memorial service was held on Tuesday, November 22, 2005. Interment was held at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. Memorial donations may be made to National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in the State of Louisiana (NSCDA in La.), P.O. Box 15875, New Orleans, LA 70175-5875.
