Graveside services for James A. Broadway will be held at 10 am on Friday, June 23, 2023 at Rocky Mount Cemetery in Sabine Parish with Bro. Dennis Bjornberg officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 9 pm on Thursday, June 22nd at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches with at 6:30 pm tribute service with Tony Moran officiating.

James, 88 years of age, passed away on June 18, 2023 in Alexandria, LA. He was born on October 18, 1934 to Peter and Myrtie Sims Broadway. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Shirley Jean Floyd Broadway; a son, Jerry P. Broadway; sisters, Delores Ivy, Faye Powell, Barbara Jordan, Lorene Oxley, Ima DuBois, and Alice Taylor; and his brothers, Junior Broadway, Curtis "Hoss" Broadway and Julius Broadway.

He is survived by his daughters, Sandra Broadway (David), Beverly Creighton (Joey), and Jennifer Olliff (Randy); sons, Jeffery Broadway (Sunny) and Lane D. Broadway (Kim); a sister, Linda Cobb; and a brother, Jerry W. "Bo" Broadway. He was blessed with 14 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
