Billy Armstrong, 90, of Bellville, formerly of Houston, and a graduate of Reagan High School and a Houston firefighter, passed away June 17, 2023 at a Bellville Nursing Facility.
He is survived by his sons, Gerald Armstrong and wife, Peggy, of Rapid City, SD, Gary Armstrong of Houston, and Gregory Armstrong and special friend, Barbie Todd; daughter, Sandra Kay Spiess of Bellville; grandchildren, Amber, Dustin, Casey, Shara, Shawn, Stephen, Chris, and Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Kinsley, Paige, Felix, Easton, Zaiden, Renly, Triston, Liam, Baylie, Ashton, Danny, Chrislee, Jamison, Brody, CharLee, Gavin, Kingslee, Logan, and Saylor; great-great-grandchild, Stella; and numerous other family members and dear friends.
Billy was preceded in death by his wife, sister, and parents.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023, from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM at Schmidt Funeral Home, 12029 Hwy. 36 South, Bellville, TX, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM. Private burial will be at Woodlawn Funeral Home and Cemetery in Houston. Pallbearers are Gerald Armstrong, Greg Armstrong, Chris Weatherford, KC Stockman, Stephen Armstrong, and Shawn Armstrong.
