Suzanne graduated from Robinson High School, earned a Bachelor's degree from Abilene Christian University and received a Master's degree in Education from Texas A & M Commerce. She taught and coached at Nimitz High School, Bowie High School, and Marcus High School. She later coached in the Garland ISD before joining the Athletic Office for the district.
Suzanne worked for the North Texas Region of USA Volleyball and coached a Mid-Cities volleyball club. Later she owned and developed Image Volleyball Club. She touched countless lives as a coach and teacher. Her strong sense of right and self-discipline inspired her girls and provided them a strong role model.
Suzanne is survived by her loving husband, Mark and their 13-month old son, Ryan. Also surviving are her parents Tom and Susan Catchings. Services were held at the First Baptist Church in Carrollton, TX on Tuesday, March 25, 2008. (Information provided by Mark Motes)
