Ross O. Rohler, 66, was found dead in a tomato patch around 11:30 Saturday morning at his farm just east of Hamilton. It is thought that he suffered a fatal heart attack some three hours earlier.

Mr. Rohler was born in Stockwell on February 29, 1884, a son of Marlet and Harriett Russell Rohler. The family moved to Dayton when he was a small child and his school days and early manhood were spent there. At one time he was a school pupil of Rev. Israel Hatton.

On October 14, 1908, he married Verla Brand. For many years he engaged in the grocery trade and operated grocery stores in Mulberry at two different times. He and his family lived in Chicago for four years and in Lafayette for four years, where he also operated a grocery. For the last several years he had been operating a poultry and egg market here.

Mr. Rohler was an active member of the Mulberry Methodist church, in which he had held many offices. Just recently he concluded a term of office as chairman of the official board. He was also a member of the Masonic lodge and the Mulberry Business Men's association.

Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Vella, at home, four brothers, Earl of Dayton, Harry of Lafayette, Morris of Mulberry, and Russell of San Diego, Calif., and three sisters, Mrs. James Sager of San Diego and Mrs. Robert Peters and Mrs. Walter Buskirk, both of Dayton.

Last rites were held at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning at the Methodist church, with the Rev. C. D. Siple officiating. He was assisted by the Rev. H. Earl Moore of Dayton. Burial was in the Fair Haven cemetery.
