Jerry, age 84, passed away at his home in Caney. He was the son of Jess and Exnah (Dunn) Newcomb. He served in the US Navy and graduated from Coffeyville Community College with an associate degree. He married Ellen Kay Williamson on August 9, 1968, in Coffeyville. He is survived by his children, Wayne Vaughn, Scott Newcomb, and Troy Newcomb, his siblings, Bill Newcomb and Faye Lovelle, nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his daughter, Kim Lovelle, and his sisters, Sammy Grimes and Jackie Buttel. A memorial service will be held June 22, 2023, at Ridin' For The Brand Cowboy Church in Wann, Oklahoma. Inurnment will be next to his wife in Sunnyside Cemetery in Caney.
