Columbus Lincoln Abrams, Jr., 73, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on October 23, 2017.

He was born on June 17, 1944.

Columbus had 38 years of sobriety and supported thousands with words of encouragement and celebration through his "birthday ministry." For the last 26 years, Columbus called well over 5,000 people each year to celebrate their birthday, sobriety milestones, and anniversaries. Columbus was extremely thoughtful and always found opportunities to help others and spread joy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Columbus Lincoln Abrams, Sr. and Lucy Stewart-Abrams; and his brother, Larry Earl Abrams.

Columbus is survived by his wife, Virginia Morris-Abrams; his daughters, Angela Abrams-Hazzard of Little Rock and Amanda Abrams Johnson (Sanford) of Clarksdale, MS; his grandchildren: Baylee, Lauren, Morris, Madison, Lorelei, Michael, and Ava; his sister, Jacqueline Hampton (Carl) of Morrilton; and his son, Columbus Lincoln Abrams, III of New Plymouth, New Zealand.

The memorial services will be held in Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Little Rock, 1400 S. Ringo. The burial services will follow in the church cemetery.
