PIONEER FARMER DIES SUDDENLY
T. L. Trower, a respected citizen of many years, who won respect from the entire community, dropped dead of heart trouble in front of Easton Baptist church, Tuesday
evening of election day, November 7. Mr. Trower had been troubled with his heart for some time. Since last February 20, he had been gradually getting weaker.Timothy Lake Trower was born November 21, 1840, in Morgan county, Indiana, and came to Kansas in the early sixties. In July, 1864, he enlisted in Co. B. 17th Kansas Infantry of
Volunteers in the 100 day service call serving full time and was honorably discharged in November same year. Returning, he settled on a farm 2 1/2 miles southeast of Winchester, where he resided until 6 years ago when he retired from his farm labor and moved to Easton, residing there until his death. Age 75 years, 11 months and 17 days.
He was united in marriage to Miss Anna Marshal by an uncle, Rev. Frank Marshall, January 10, 1878. To this union was born 5 children. Frankie, the second born, died at the age of
two years. The other children are Omer of near Easton, Oscar and Mrs. Etta Brown of near Winchester, and Mrs. Lula Ala of Blackfoot, Idaho.
