Born September 15, 1922 in Elkton, Virginia, she was the daughter of Warren Albert Hensley and Aggie McCoy Hensley.
One of seven children, mother seven of her own, she enjoyed reading, gardening and helping others. She was a member of Zion U.M. Church in Sarver. She was a former member of the Buffalo Township Fire Company Auxiliary and had been a former den mother to the scouts.
A pleasant, caring soul, rarely angered with an even disposition. A friend to all, enemy of none. She enjoyed children very much, often baby-sitting the neighbors' kids. She loved animals and picnics during the summer with her family.
She worked as a telephone operator during WWII, where she met her husband, Neal. They were married April 5, 1946. She was able to travel around the country with her husband and three of her children. She even took a trip to Mexico to see the Aztec ruins.
Surviving are her children; R. Terry (Pat) Braden, Randy N. (Chris) Braden, Larry W. Braden, Tim L. Braden, Frank (Kim) Braden, Barbara (Loyal) Fredley and Lura (Mark) Flick, 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
