The inimitable Charles William McCain, born Feb. 25, 1939, in Lucasville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2023, in Tampa, Florida. The youngest of 12 children born to Charles Stanley and Emma (Justice) McCain, and the last living sibling, Charlie graduated from Stockdale High School. He spent his years of Army service based in Europe, where — according to his frequent and fond remembrances — he traveled around the region enjoying the scenery and local culture (meaning, mostly, the beer). After working for Westinghouse in Columbus, Charlie became a seasoned project manager and construction contractor, and later spent a decade as a Facilities Engineer for WCI Communities in Bonita Springs, Florida (where he loved the company privilege of playing their golf courses for free). Charlie's kind and warm demeanor, coupled with his easy-going attitude, sharp wit, love of sports, and readiness for a good time, made him a lifelong favorite among those who were fortunate to call him family or friend.

To know "Good Time Charlie" was to love and adore him. We miss him dearly.
