Jonesboro -- Richard Lee Forehand, 54, of Altus, Okla., formerly of Jonesboro, died at 6:15 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, 2001, in his home in Altus.
He was born June 10, 1947, in Anna, Ill., the son of Sherman Lee and Pearl Ollie Simms Forehand.
He married Judith Blaney in 1965 and she preceded him in death April 23, 1997. He married Dee Jay Powell Aug. 20, 1998, in Las Vegas, Nev.
He is survived by his wife, Dee Jay, of Altus; one son, Derick; one daughter, Angela; a stepson, A.J.; one step-daughter, Heather; one brother, Charles Thomas of Waynesburg, Penn; and one sister, Martha Furlow of Cobden; three grandchildren, Dustin, Brittany, and Katelyn; and other relatives.
He was a retired flight simulator maintenance manager with the United States Air Force. He retired in 1989.
He was a graduate of Anna-Jonesboro Community High School, class of 1965.
Funeral services for Richard Lee Forehand will be at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, 2001, in the Lutz & Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna with the Rev. Jimmy Keller officiating. Interment with full military honors by Anna VFW Post 3455 will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Friends may call at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday.
