EASLEY, SC - Betty Cannon Masters, 74, loving wife of 53 years to Mendel R. Masters, died Friday, March 21, 2008, at her home.

Born in Laurens, S.C., daughter of the late Jake and Dot Wix Cannon, Mrs. Masters was a homemaker, devoted mother and grandmother, and a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are, one son, Russell Masters and his wife, Laurie, of Easley; three daughters, Snow Port of Murrell's Inlet, Zane Finley and her husband, Roger, of Easley, and Mendy Masters of Simpsonville; one brother, Buddy Cannon and his wife, Glenda, of Easley; four grandchildren, Chloe Port, Kristen Miller and her husband, Blair, Kelli Masters and Sparky Finley.

Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. Monday in Greenlawn Memorial Park, with Rev. Rodney Jeanes and Rev. Dr. John Adams officiating.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.

The family is at the home, 100 Mendel Drive, Easley.

The family would like to express their appreciation for special care provided by Mary Epps, Sharon Chapman, and the entire staff of Winyah Community Hospice. Also, their appreciation to Easley First Baptist Church shut-in meals program.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Winyah Community Hospice, 880 Pleasantburg Drive, Suite 1A, Greenville, SC 29607, or to the charity of one's choice.
