Carrie Bell King Freeze, 99, passed away on Easter morning, Sunday, March 23, 2008, at the Olde Knox Commons Villages of Mecklenburg. She was born in Wilkes County, a lifelong resident of Mooresville and a daughter of the late Samuel Columbus Huie and Emma Miles Huie.


Mrs. Carrie retired from Burlington Mills. She was a member of the Mooresville Church of God. She loved going to church and reading her Bible. She loved to have fun and to be with people. She was also an active member for many years of the Mooresville Senior Citizens Club at the War Memorial. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters. She is survived by four sons, Charles King and wife, Jenny, of Kannapolis; Arthur King and wife, Betty, of Charlotte; Donald King of Winston-Salem; and Barry King and wife, Jimmie, of Fletcher; two daughters, Dorothy Hill of Houston, Texas, and Patty Lineburger and husband, Bobby, of Mooresville; twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. The family wishes to thank all of Carrie Bell's friends who were so good to her through the years.


Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Looney officiating. Burial will follow the service at Glenwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Mooresville Church of God, P.O. Box 1514, Mooresville, NC 28115. Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville, is serving the Freeze family.
