Henry "Red" Allison, 76, of Spartanburg, SC, died Sunday, October 5, 2003, at his home.

A native of Gaffney, SC; son of the late Preston Allison (1889–1974) and Zula Mae Harris Allison (1887–1979); husband of Mary Margaret Johnson Allison.

A retired cemetery salesman, an Army veteran having served in World War II, was of the Baptist faith, and was a past master of Cowpens Masonic Lodge 210.

Other survivors include his daughters, Elaine A. Rankin and Brenda A. Bright; sisters, Ponice Coffey and Verna Mode; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held from 5:00 - 6:00 pm, Thursday, at Bobo Funeral Chapel.

Memorial services followed at 6:00 pm in the chapel conducted by Rev. David Johnson.
