Fred was born Oct. 7, 1960 in Lodi, CA. He spent many summers at his grandparents' farm, the Albert and Bertha Woehls near Fredonia, ND, and also with family in the Ashley area.

He went into the army in 1977 and served with the special forces in Wildflicken, Germany.

He returned to Colorado Springs in 1980 where he met his best friend and the love of his life, Dixie Woodson.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Dixie, his parents, Gene and Vivian (Woehl) Wahl, sister Greta, (Chuck) Diede of Wishek, ND, brother Mike of Colorado Springs, brother Church (Vickie) Turner of Apache Junction, AZ, and special children, Jeff Skelton and Jennifer Anderson, his pet Rottweiler, Orland, and 43 nieces and nephews, 51 great-nieces and nephews and 11 great-great nieces and nephews, and many friends.

We will miss the loving act of friendship and compassion he offered to every life he touched. Fred had a special energy for creating works of art, not just with his hands but also with the relationships that were important to him.

The loves of his life were his wife, family, friends, pets and his bike.
