LaWanda spent her childhood in Hayti, Missouri. During her adult life, Lawanda was a long time member and worked as a secretary at the Missouri Street Church of Christ for 30 years.
LaWanda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifford Adams; brothers, Roy Hawkins Jr, Raymond Hawkins, and Robert Hawkins.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Adams (Gayle) of Collierville, Tennessee, and Chris Adams of Marion, Arkansas; brother Richard Hawkins (Carole) of Roanoke, Virginia; grandson, Justin Adams of Little Rock, Arkansas; great grandson, Miles Adams of Little Rock, Arkansas; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis followed by the funeral service at 12:00 PM. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Arkansas.
