STATESBORO - Mrs. Lois Melva Arnett Akins, 77, died Nov. 24 at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah.
She was a native of Screven County and the widow of Leffler Horace Akins. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Statesboro and the Seekers Sunday School Class.
SURVIVORS: a daughter and son-in-law, the Rev. and Mrs. H. Julian Ward of Statesboro; a granddaughter and a grandson-in-law, the Rev. and Mrs. Jason Wade of Gray; and a number of nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: 2-3:30 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church of Statesboro.
FUNERAL: 4 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church, burial in Eastside Cemetery in Statesboro.
