Jack Nelson Harris of Camden, TN passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 87. Jack was born and grew up in Hustburg, TN. Jack graduated from Trebble High School. After marriage, Jack lived in Camden the rest of his life.

Being born during the years of the Great Depression, his family worked hard on the family farm with two large gardens and fruit trees surrounding their home. It was during these years that Jack gained a love for farming and maybe even more so a love for tractors that continued throughout his life. Jack used his Farmall tractors every year to plant his corn and hay to feed his 'friends' the cows.

After graduation, it was necessary to go to the bigger cities for employment and Jack did his stint in Nashville, Indiana and onto Detroit. Jack then signed up for the Army and was stationed in Korea for a couple years. Upon return to the states, Jack was in service with Jimmy Keesee, and when they discussed going to his hometown for leave, Jack asked about a girl in a photo that turned out to be Jimmy's sister, Frances. And as they say, the rest is history.

Jack & Frances married on January 27, 1962, and had three children, Michael, Tony and Jackie. Jack continued farming and had a successful career working at DuPont for 37 years. After retirement Jack worked another 20 years farming and enjoying being with family.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Gladys, sisters Polly and Georgia.

Jack is survived by his wife Frances (Keesee) Harris, children Michael (Rita) Harris of Camden, Tony (Tami) Harris of Brentwood and Jackie (Chad) Dacus of Camden; sisters Barbara Breeden and Sherry Smith (niece); six grandchildren, Corey & Sara, Connor & Jake, and Avery & Jack; and great grandchildren Lily, Sage & Frost.

Visitation will be held from 11:00am until service time Monday, June 5th at Humphreys County Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00pm Monday, June 5, 2023, in the Humphreys County Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Wayne Purcell officiating. Graveside services following at Ebenezer Cemetery in Hustburg, TN.
