Anna Mae Bean, 92, a longtime resident of Bacon Hill passed away Thursday, March 21, 2019 at the Fulton Center for Rehab in Gloversville.
Born January 14, 1927 in Glens Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Blaine and Marguerite Waterman Holmes.
Anna Mae was assistant manager at Glens Falls National Bank in Schuylerville for many years. She enjoyed playing the organ and was the organist and sang in the choir at the Bacon Hill Reformed Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, flower and vegetable gardening, camping, sewing and knitting, and was an avid reader. She and her husband traveled across the US in a fifth wheeler.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Malcolm G. Bean; 1 brother, Roger Holmes; and 1 grandson, James J. Mercer.
Survivors include her 2 daughters, Janice (David) Cook of Ballston Lake and Pamela (Ronald) Hanson of Jacksonville, FL; 1 brother, Norman Holmes of Louisville, KY; 2 grandchildren, Patrick Mercer and Andre Forfa; 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm Monday, March 25, 2019 at the Bacon Hill Reformed Church with Pastor Janet Vincent, officiating. Spring burial will be in the Bacon Hill Cemetery.
