Astolpho Dio Rogers was born in 1878 at Franklin, Oneida County, Idaho, but had lived the greater part of his life in Salt Lake. He was married here to Mrs. Amalie Olsen. At the time of his death, in addition to his widow, he was survived by his father, Alma Denton Rogers of Ogden; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Etta Perry and Mrs. Sally Columbia Pritchett and three brothers all residing in Utah. During the Spanish-American war, Mr. Rogers served with the Utah troops in the Philipines.
