Linda Marie (Byers) Carson passed from her earthly home in Moore, OK to her eternal home in Heaven on Friday, June 2, at the age of 77. Linda was born on July 15,1945, in San Pedro, CA, the only daughter of Justin and Lena Mary (Fisher) Byers. Linda spent her formative years in the Tulsa area, graduating from Thomas Edison High School in 1963.
Linda married Lonnie Carson, May 14,1966 in Clinton, OK. They were blessed with three children, Gina, Douglas, and Misty and raised their family in Moore until Lonnie's death in 1995. Linda worked throughout her life as an office assistant, hair stylist and owner of Personality Beauty Salon in OKC, at Tinker Air Force Base during Operation Desert Storm, and before retiring in 2008, she worked as a medical assistant for several physician practices and Norman Regional Hospital. She would tell you her greatest accomplishment was her family, children, and grandchildren. She was their biggest cheerleader, always running them to and from sporting events, church, and school. She loved to attend estate and garage sales, always looking for some small item that reminded her of someone she loved or that represented a special memory for her. Linda loved spending time at the lake with her kids and grandkids and her best friend, Robert. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother and will be missed. We are at peace that she is no longer in pain and is rejoicing in Heaven with all those who have gone before her.
Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie, parents Justin and Lena Mary Byers, her father and mother-in-law, Bonnie and Irene Carson, her dear brother-in-law, Jimmy Carson, niece Jaymie Riggs, great nephew Cody Carson, and her infant granddaughter Kayla Fletcher.
