Patricia A. (Morrow) Hofmockel, age 77, passed away on March 25, 2023. She was born September 15, 1945, to the late Virgil and Zola (Sholes) Morrow in O'Neill, Nebraska, and grew up in the nearby town of Inman.

Patty left Inman in 1963 to strike out on her own in Omaha, where she worked for Mutual of Omaha. In 1966, she met and married the love of her life, Richard "Dick" Hofmockel. They moved to Glenwood, Iowa, where they raised their daughters, Stacey and Jill. Patty started as a proofreader and eventually became general manager of the Opinion-Tribune. Later, she worked at MidAmerican Energy's Council Bluffs Energy Center, from which she retired as an executive assistant.

Patty was a talented seamstress and piano player, an excellent cook, and a fan of Elvis Presley and the Iowa Hawkeyes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert "Bob" Morrow.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 56 years, Richard Hofmockel; children Stacey (Jim) Kalhorn and Jill (John Ham) Hofmockel; grandchildren Patrick (Miranda) Kalhorn, Samuel (Haley) Kalhorn, Thomas Ham, and Kathryn Ham; great-grandchild, Jamie Kalhorn; siblings Sharon (Floyd) Sorensen, James Morrow, Sandy (Tim) Dempsey, Alan (Laurie) Morrow, and Pamela (Byron) Wilson; sister-in-law, Veldeen Morrow; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Patty passed surrounded by her loving family, who miss her dearly.
