Ellen June Cottrell, 89, a lifelong resident of Wellington, passed under the care of Mercy New Life Hospice on Thursday, January 26, 2023. Born June 5, 1933 in Wellington, Ohio the daughter of Matthew and Ellen (Keough) Teehan.

Ellen was primarily a homemaker and a wonderful mother of three. She worked for Poiner's grocery and Isalys Restaurant in Wellington, and was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing bingo, cards, puzzles, cooking, no one could make a potato salad or a Texas sheet cake like mom. Keeping her house and yard nice were important to Ellen, she loved to ride the lawn mower and just be outside.

Survivors include her children Kathy (Wayne) Eaton of Amherst, Mary Jo (Tom) Mills, and Jamie (Camden) Cottrell of Wellington, four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and siblings Betty Farnsworth and Patrick Teehan.

Ellen was preceded in death by her husbands Henry Clodwick, Ronald Cottrell, siblings, Thomas, Matthew, Mary Margaret, John, James and infant siblings, Michael, Robert Lee, Kathleen and grandson Troy Mills.
