He was born in Oshkosh on March 21, 1912, a son of Frank and Rose Steier Laudenklos. Donald married Leona Woldt in Oshkosh on May 31, 1930. Together they celebrated 64 years of married life. She preceded him in death on June 8, 1994.
Donald attended St. Peter's School in Oshkosh. He served in the Army during WWII; and retired in 1978 from Georgia Pacific Corp. in Oshkosh. Prior to that he worked at Sunshine Laundry and Dry Cleaners in Oshkosh.
Don greatly enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, nature walks and weekly card games of canasta. He made beautiful woodworking projects and crafts. He enjoyed gardening and flowers.
Survivors include one son Donald A. (JoAnn) Laudenklos, Redgranite; one daughter Betty (Don) Williams, Neenah; 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, many beloved nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives. Preceding him in death was a son Gerold, and a daughter Delores Brunover.
Funeral services will be held in the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Eastside on Thursday April 9, 1998 at am with Fr. Martin P. Carr officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 9:00 am to the time of services. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
Dearest Pa, Grandpa, Great Grandpa, You will be truly missed by all your family and friends. As you leave this earth with all our love, to join your beloved Leona.
