Thomas Claude Bennett, 63, of 1704 Rainbow, Pocahontas, died Monday at the Randolph County Medical Center. Born in Biggers, he was a Korean War veteran. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bonnie Bennett of Pocahontas; two sons, Tim Bennett of Searcy and Tommy Bennett of Pocahontas; two daughters, Debbie Parrish and Judy Swann of Pocahontas; five brothers, Bill Bennett of Ewing, W.Va., Billy Bennett of Tacoma, Wash., Ronald Bennett of Batesville, Burley Bennett and Rufus Bennett of Pocahontas; four sisters, Bobbie Griffith of Imboden, Lucille Nichols of Tucson, Ariz., Mary Rogers of Littsworth, La., and Betty Whitlatch of Pocahontas; 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild survive. He was preceded in death by a son, Scotty Bennett. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home in Pocahontas, with Rev. Kerry Gandy officiating. Burial will follow in Maynard Cemetery with a Veterans of Foreign Wars graveside service. Pallbearers will be Allen Parrish, Pete McQueen, Frank McQueen, Dr. Albert Baltz, Mike McQueen and Kevin Foust. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.
