Loredith "Lo" Lafferty:
1918-2002

CLARENDON - Loredith "Lo" Lafferty, 83, died Tuesday, March 12, 2002, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors of Amarillo, Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road, with the Rev. James Edwards of First United Methodist Church in Clarendon and the Rev. Merriel Abbott, retired Methodist minister, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo.

Mrs. Lafferty moved to Amarillo in 1949 from Pampa. She moved to Clarendon in 1978. She married Byrul Lafferty in 1937 at Clovis, N.M. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

She was a member of Panhandle Boat and Ski Club in Clarendon since 1963. She was a member of Eastern Star of Clarendon, Senior Citizens Association of Clarendon and VFW Auxiliary in Clarendon. She delivered for Meals on Wheels.

She was preceded in death by her husband on March 15, 1984.

Survivors include a daughter, Gloria Wright of San Antonio; two sons, Ray Lafferty and Robert Lafferty, both of Amarillo; three sisters, Doris Bahe of Longmont, Colo., Ioma Danisch of Houston and Nola May Abbott of Pampa; a brother, Richard Abbott of Pampa; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Make-A-Wish Foundation of Amarillo, 411 S. Fillmore St., Amarillo, TX 79101; or Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer Center, 1500 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106.
