He was born November 4, 1858 in Utah to John Franklin Sanders and Mary Irene Clements Sanders. He married Hannah Elmina Allred August 31, 1879 in Fairview, Utah. His occupation was a farmer. He had lived in Mesa, Arizona for 20 years and Arizona for 30 years. He was married at the time of his death.

Interment was made in the City of Mesa Cemetery on November 4, 1912. The undertaker was Burton & Sons.
